I thought you loved me

When you saw in the park
Just before the coming dark
You took me aside and said ‘It’s fine’
You also said ‘You’ll always be mine’
You took me home, down the street
It was cold, but I feel your heat
You looked me in the eyes
All I saw was paradise
You kissed me by the front door
As you pulled away, I wanted more
But we just stood there for a minute or two
You then whispered the words ‘I love you’
The next day, you weren’t there
I saw you kiss a girl so fair
I stood on the spot, I wanted to flee
You are not a friend but my worst enemy.
